The Fourth Dayby M.O.C.Comment: I can't see how this represents any particular year, so is a bit out of place in this challenge. - It could be any year, and so wouldn't mean much in a time capsule. Good shot though. Moon and venus conjunction? - On second look I think I understand where you're coming from - is this a biblical reference? |

Remembering September 11, 2001by StopDownComment: Just the mangled door by itself would have been better. There's too much going on in the background. At first view I couldn't tell but it looks like this was taken in a museum with a photograph hanging in the background? - Pity about that, I think the background really detracts from this. Lighting is a bit harsh - although if it was in a museum you probably didn't have much control over that! - On the positive side, this was a great idea for a 'time capsule' challenge. Sums up 2001 very well. |

9 months of waitby maxlevayComment: Great shot - But I just can't see how it relates to the challenge, sorry! It would perhaps be intended in a time capsule for the baby in there? :-) Excellent use of light/shadows. And a fantastic composition/crop. |

The time after the meteor hits earth (2023)by RUEDISCHMUTZComment: I can't see how this is relevant to the challenge, sorry! This photo could represent any year, not just 2023. I don't get the meteor reference either. Although on the positive side, it's an interesting composition - solitary tree just nicely offset to the left works quite well. Some exposure issues on the sky (centre-bottom) |

Van Franklin Garrettby bigfellaComment: Image is too small to tell what it represents (i.e. can't read the writing on the headstone). And there's no year in the title either, so I can't see how this is really relevant to the challenge. - Besides, the headstone will probably outlast the photo in the time capsule anyway! - Composition is good, focus and DOF look okay - although image is too small to tell properly. |

1960's Young Americanby mandradeComment: Could be 1960's, 70's, or 80's... Although his haircut says '90's' lol .... This shot seems to be more about patriotism than representing any particular year. Nicely composed. The crop at the bottom to show just his eyes was a brave decision! but I think it works. Makes it stand out. |

2005 In Bloomby Ice-Tea-1983Comment: Sorry, but I don't see how this meets the challenge. Flowers are not specific or representative of any year. It will mean nothing to someone opening up a time capsule. Apart from that, nice shot. Vivid colours, good focus, reasonable DOF. Twig on the left is a bit distracting. |

Lost in Space and Time and Gravityby 4ROGGYCHEFComment: Sorry, but I can't see what year this represents - It could be any year, and so wouldn't mean much in a time capsule. Imaginative and vivid shot though - I love the colours. Just a pity it's so out of place in this particular challenge. |

Year 0by agfotoComment: I can't see how this represents the year 0, sorry! - It could be any year, and so wouldn't mean much in a time capsule. Good shot though. (Although lens flare spoils it for me) |

1880by greslizzzComment: The corner of that bench on the left is the first thing my eye went to.... A bit more cropping on the left might have saved it! |
