Too dark. Can't see how the rule of thirds applies here. Sorry, it's just too difficult to see this so I can't really be constructive with my comment...

After the rain

DOF seems too shallow.

The first place my eye looked was along the 'diagonal' that the leaf forms. The diagonal which runs from top left corner to bottom right. So, strictly speaking this doesn't conform to the rule of thirds (the challenge you mentioned in your post) - And its just now that I noticed the small drops of water on the leaf, only from wondering why you called it 'after the rain'.

Not a bad shot, but it doesn't really inspire me.

A very evocative image. I enjoyed this as my eye was wandering all over the place trying to 'construct' whatever it was that makes up the alien. It is unsettling and perhaps unnerving, but that's what makes the shot. Good title too.

Now this one really caught my attention. How on earth did you manage this? Very creative and imaginative. Beautifully vibrant colours. Focus is excellent.

The funny thing here is that I find the backdrop more interesting than the subject! - Having the bubble out of focus and fairly centered in the composition also tends to draw the eye to the backdrop. Nice title. And the shadow is pretty good (the faint pink in the shadow works well)

How did you do this? - It's excellent. My eye is drawn to the 'creature' descending on the top-right corner. Almost looks like he has eyes. I visualise this as aliens attacking a planet, the title was well chosen!

This is great! - First time I've seen a photo of a fish that almost gives it an expression! He really looks like he's enjoying himself there. Well caught.... erm captured (can't use words like 'caught' in front of a fish, you know)
