Heaven Sentby pearlseyesComment: Excellent lighting technique, I like the composition/angle. Good expression. The only flaw is the bottom of the bed you can see on the right, but nothing major. |

Garden Spritesby L1Comment: Great capture. Although I'm a bit undecided about the desaturation, I find it a bit distracting. |

Dreamerby Wenders11Comment: This is just perfect. I'd love to know how you didn't totally blow it out shooting into the sun like that. Love the angle as well. |

Eeeeek !by BradComment: Originally posted by Brad: Those aren't fangs! Them's it's front feets. |
They look more like pedipalps to me, the second pair of appendages of the cephalothorax in Arachnida, homologous with mandibles in Crustacea, and corresponding to the mandibles of insects.
Although, I can see where the confusion arose... pedipalps of spiders have the same segmentation as the legs, but the tarsus is undivided, and the pretarsus has no lateral claws.

Stringsby silverscreenComment: That's superb, very impressive. Nice idea replacing the background, it really makes the spider stand out.
Great detail on the legs. I especially like that 'translucent' effect. You've inspired me to chase down more spiders tomorrow. :) |
