I was looking for something in your portfolio that I could comment on for the 'Need Comments' thread that I could offer some acutal critique. But then I came to this and needed to comment, even though I couldn't offer anything constructive. I really like how you the textures of the petal creates some amazing leading lines that draw you right into this photo. I also like your choice of DOF, it really makes all the water droplets pop along that back edge of the petal. What I don't understand is how this didn't score above a six, maybe not enough texture for some?!?

I really like the blurred background from shallow DOF. I wish the foreground flowers stood out a little more from them. If the background had been in darker lighting that may of helped, or perhaps a tighter crop. You probably could of also closed down some stops to get every flower in the foreground in sharp focus. Overall, I really like this photo, good compositions and great color. It's just some of the nitpicky things that keeps this from being over the top with me.
