That was taken near a bird feeder. The one on the left apparently didn't like the presence of the other bird so it kept getting upset and made it fly away. I noticed the bird kept trying to get to the food so I grabbed the camera. I would have liked to have gotten both in the shot but I had trouble just getting a good enough focus. |

Exodusby bradshawComment: I love the composition and the tension it creates. The pier and the clouds look larger than life making the beacon in the distance quite vulnerable. Nicely done. |

Morning Glowby andrewthomasComment: This is very beautiful. The flow in the water takes on a life of it's own. Very organic. |

Soaringby TerramarComment: I like how the shapes go from the simple to the complex, but taken as a whole it's still simple in design. Makes me think about the spark of life and how it is like the child. Gets my YankO Green. Good luck!

stillnessby LevTComment: Surreal. The pose makes the shot.
ETA: Bumping up. I just noticed the reflections in the water act like an arrow pointing to the left. I quite like this shot so it gets my YankO Yellow. Good luck!

The stillness of the oceanby ScapeshotsComment: I don't think the background or the lighting hurt you as both are more than fine. The problem I had with it is it's a statue. You need to do more than just light it well to make it a compelling subject. The composition and POV isn't doing you any favors either. As a product shot in a catelog it's perfect but beyond that it doesn't do anything else to excite the senses. |

Fragile by IreneMComment: Yeah you would be crazy to think this wouldn't do well. Now I'm getting tired of congratulating you so I'll just be posting Irene fun facts from now on. :)
Irene Fun Fact #1 (and yanko is very jealous of this. :P):
- Not only is Irene very good but she sure can pick em! When she scores 6.5 or higher she has won a ribbon 40% of the time! That's either very high or my percentage is low (i.e. 18%). So now that we got that out of the way can you PM me which challenges to enter and which to avoide? Thanks! Did I tell you that you are the bestest??? :P |
