Cradle by hanserikComment: The problem with copying someone else's shot is you need to meet or exceed the original otherwise you're doomed to the inevitable comparision. Unfortunately, since this one doesn't have the originality/creativity associated with it your technicals needed to be better just to break even, which is why it's better to just try out something new. It's that whole risk/reward thing, which you're avoiding here.
That said, I understand people try to recreate a photo just to learn but bare in mind that as a voter I must consider more than just the technicals, which is all you have focused on here so you lose a lot in the voting from me. |

Blue forksby jodis_evaComment: Crisp clean shot. The lighting and composition are all fine. The diagonal aspect and POV adds appeal but overall there's nothing here that really grabs you and holds on. |

Everytown, USAby DrAchooComment: Originally posted by GeneralE: Apparently a lot of voters don't include this type of shot in the category of "miniature" -- in this case, I'd suggest even more blurring towards the top and bottom regions to make the effect even more pronounced. Your composition and subjects are fine. |
I looked up the word literal in the dictionary but all I found was a photo of the DPC voting mass. 'Nuff said. |

So cute! Love the edging - like an old photograph, treasured and aged. |
More like a progression of girls gone crazy. :P |
