Sax on the Beach: The Aphrodesiatics at Voinovich Parkby tateComment: The crop is interesting and if it were for the trees and the mikes it would look even better. Also I don't really care too much for the blown highlight effects but I imagine you probably did that to eliminate most of the background. |

20th century. The era of David Bowieby Goldwing_edComment: Originally posted by Goldwing_ed: I don't believe this!
I really thought that this image should score better.
Well.... I think it is a great one.. That is, i believe, a good point! |
Yeah I think this should have ranked better. Perhaps the title and borders irked people. As I mentioned earlier I really liked the colors. It helps capture not only Bowie but the whole era. |

I have to disagree regarding the centering of the subject. I think it happens to work here just fine. To me it looks like he's fighting the elements and if he's off center you lose that cluster phobic feeling. |

1977by aimee_skittlesComment: Looks perfect to me. After voting on all the entries I thought yours had everything. Great photo in general and most important it nails the subject of the challenge. Take away the title and you still know what era you're conveying. That's something you can't say for many of the photos ranked ahead of yours. Good job.
