Neptune's Childby posthumousComment: Well I can't put into words why I like it but I do. It kinda speaks to the state of affairs on the environment and the next generation being left to deal with it. |

water meets landby aznymComment: Very interesting. Kinda looks like a shore but I assume it's a splash? That streak of thicker droplets on the left messes with the illusion for me. |

The Future of DSLRby S_LantermanComment: This is a very cool idea. You may already be doing well with it but I think you could have really upped your score if A.) you used a female face and B.) you smooth the heck out of it. I think an "android look" would have really been perfect for the concept. Anyway, just a thought. I'm only commenting so no vote. |

Explorationby escapetoozComment: This is strange but I kinda like it. The dark tones are fantastic. I think I would have played up the exploration part a little more like say include a backpack or something like that.
Btw, I'm only commenting so no vote. |

Study of Reflective Properties in Near Infraredby dahkotaComment: To be honest I really don't care for this. Everything just seems arbitrary and snapshot-ish. Even though the horizontal line is off centered the trees and the break in the clouds makes it all feel centered and boring. The rich reds in the water is the only thing that adds some appeal for me.
I think I would have made the sky greyscale as I feel grey and blue is a better combination than what you have going. Also, I'd try and find a way to add some tenison with the POV or something to heighten the interest in the composition.
Lastly, I don't really get the relevency to the challenge theme except for the title which to me doesn't reflect the actual photo, pardon the pun.
Sorry to sound so harsh but it's just my opinion so take it as that. Besides I am just commenting and not voting. :) |
