Congrats on the HM. You mentioned the chair but I would have thought making the subject appear to be popping out of the frame would be risky. Might have to try that kind of border.

Congrats. You almost beat Falc! The masking isn't too bad but I wonder how you resized it. I find that using bicubic smoother is better for downsizing if there is a lot of thin lines you want to preserve like that golf club shaft as it doesn't make the lines so pixelated. Or better yet use both bicubic sharper and smoother and then mask the two together so that you get the best of both worlds. Anyway just a thought.

Love the colors and texture. The DOF also adds something and doesn't look at all like a mistake. However the nuclear highlights do. I can live with the blown out bowl at the very top as it kind of looks like milk and also has a definitive shape to it which fits in nicely with the rest of the image so it serves a purpose but the other blown out areas don't, IMO.

Keep in mind that voters see a lot of photos and when they see so many that are very sharp and even oversharpened anything less may appear to be undersharpened even when it's not. So you may want to sharpen with that in mind. For me that's fine.

That aside, what I don't like about this photo is the lighting and the tonal range in general. The detail isn't strong in the shadows and the highlights particularly the snow is too bright. I think if you were able to light up the inside of that barn more either with a lower sun or artificial lighting it would have a greater impact.
