I thought this was not bad. I gave it a 5. The problem I see is that it wants to be an abstract, but it isn't quite abstract enough. On the other hand, it wants to be a nature shot, but it's too abstract.

I wished you could have waited a split second so we could have had more of the ant visible. Other than that, the composition is nice. Both subjects are off center and balance each other. The colors are nice as well.

red is soooo friggin hard to capture right on digital. Don't feel bad that I think you failed a bit here. (they look quite saturated) Still a nice contemplative portrait. I would have liked to see her eyes, even if she wasn't looking at the camera.
