Who's throwing like a girl? Repeat after me...from the shoulder...from the shoulder. Just kidding about that. It's a creative idea, although I'd call it more of a proverb than a superstition. The crutches, I'm sure, are there for a reason, but they are distracting from the picture. Either ditch the crutches just for the shot, or get her to take the picture while you are throwing the rock (assuming it's not a self portrait).

Hey Faithless, I do think it's a superb picture. I can just see how, on this site which loves to be quite literal with its interpretations, it got shortchanged a bit. Put this in another challenge and I'm sure it's a 6+.

Boy, I missed this one in the challenge. The colors are amazing here. This is a picture that could easily be used in some national add for Canon printers or the like. Very sharp too. Congrats on the green ribbon!

This one is pretty sweet 'sap. I think it's almost superior to the one you entered. Mainly I like the more in focus perch. However, it looks just a tad oversharp (at least that's my interpretation in the wings).

The lighting highlights the warty nature of the skin, giving it texture, but I think I would prefer the subject to have better lighting from the front.

hmm, I see the legs up. I think it's alive. ;) Nicely done on the ladybug, unfortunately the rest of the lighting is harsh. Looks like it was taken between 10 and 2 o'clock. I still think it's a fairly good picture though. 7
