I'm not giving a 4 for composition, it's more the darkness of the grass and the artifacts in the sky(?) It's a creative portrait, but I think it could have been done better.

it's the return of Brent Ward! Nicely shot. The contrast seems just a bit low, but it's possible that more contrast would have quickly blackened the evergreens to a muddy mess. 8

I like the shot as a candid/portrait and his look does emote a lot to us. I think the acid wash doesn't serve a big purpose. You look like you were going for a goodman, but naturally aren't as skilled at the look as she is (who is?). I'm not positive about the square crop either, although I don't think it's a huge minus. I gave this a 4. I did it primarily because the acid action didn't make sense to me.
