Oh, but the top of a newborn's head is such a sweet spot!...Perhaps the shot would be improved by a slightly different perspective to include a glimpse of the baby's face, but nonetheless, this image captures a real sense of tenderness. The cradling of the head by the little hands is precious and your DOF provides a nice softness that enhances the tender moment.

I like this a lot!...the colors, the tilting angles, the cat that's there, but not completely. Maybe a bit of burning would deepen the image and make it pop even more, but as it is it's just great. Very nice capture!

What I love about this is that in rendering the image in such an abstracted way, you've invited us to elicit our own varied sentiments. This makes me think about how we all carry around with us memories of moments spent which are special, yet perhaps no longer vivid - just hazy little souvenirs that become part of the fabric of who we are. I find it to be emotive in a nostalgic, melancholy sort of way.
