Portrait Collectionby mia67Comment: This is a really nice shot of a beautiful child, Mia. The softness and pastel tones complement so well the innocent demeanor that she's projecting. I see this as having even more impact as a fill-the-frame portrait, cropped in close on all sides with none of the white showing. I might try the crop to the top portion as far down as the middle of her forehead, allowing us a more directed focus on her very engaging eyes. A bit off of the bottom would give the hand positioning a more natural look, and coming in closer on the sides would further contribute to a more intimate feel to the portrait. I think that her sweet face could look stunning close up. :) |

Day 19by talikfComment: Why is it that so many people feel a child has to be smiling for a picture to be good? It's so often more effective to capture those other little nuances of personality. I find it cute how the boy is linking his little toes together, and how the puppy is apparently taking an interest in that too. I really don't think that the boy looks sad, but he might come across to some as being slightly uncomfortable. Perhaps this was the type of photo session where he needed to be given lots of opportunity to just play and interact naturally with the puppy as you took loads of pictues. Both the boy and the puppy are adorable...even without smiles. :) |

Day 17 Tree Houseby ValdoComment: Aside from the lighting issues, this is a very nice portrait of your wife and daughter. I really like the natural framing and the subtle bokeh. |

Day 19 - The Voiceby TDCollinsComment: This is really great, David! This picture lets me hear the music. You can tell that his heart and soul is in what he's doing. Wonderful b&w conversion with a hint of blue toning that works so well with this image. Excellent job! |

Day 19 - Not So Sweetby bdennyComment: My goodness, do you have a stash of old dinosaur bones stored up at your house?!! Yowza! I cannot believe this is the same sweet, perky-eared Sophie that we've seen previously! |
