These shots are so cool! After looking at the original that you posted of this shot, my suggestion would be to leave more of the splash around his foot and legs so that it looks more like the water is spilling out as well.

I like the combination of the leaves and frosty snow bits. Nice angles for the shadows on the leaves too. I think a tighter crop might work with this shot too.

Unless you really like the grey skin, my suggestion to get "artsy" with this shot would be to make it more high key by increasing the brightness to the point where you lose the skin texture but keep some of the shadows around her eyes and nose. Just paly around with an adjustment layer and see what it does for it. You should also try and take out the redness in the whites of her eyes. With the grey skin tones, the red in the eyes becomes very prominent. I like the crop and think this has potential. Keep playing, you never know where it will take you!

Rock Pool_Eagle Bay

I prefer this colour version over the sepia one of this one. Having the sky a different tone seems to emphasize the rock pool so much more, and give it more strength.

Great capture of the reflections. You may want to try applying a light gradient to the sky to tone down the highlights a bit. Another option would be to crop it a little closer to the tree tops so that there is less of the really bright portion to draw the eye away from the main subject. Nice bright colours.

High and Low

I like the silhouettes and the colours in this shot. I think you might have stronger image if you were to rotate it to the right about .5 of a degree and clone out the wire. (JMO)

Love the shadows in this one. You might want to try adding a level adjustment and sliding the black input level (first number)up a bit to add some extra contrast. The colours and textures in this work well together.
