The field is indeed a wonderful green colour. I find the blackness of the sky and the tree line far too overpowering for my taste and feel it takes impact away from the overall presentation of this shot.

Though I realize that you seem to be making a statement about the environment, this photo does not have a great impact on me. Perhaps a close up at eye level of the cut stump with the rest of the destroyed branches visible in the background would be more emphatic.

Looks more like wrapped hay bales to me, but what do I know, I'm just a city girl! I like the way you have captured the expanse of prairie. The colours are good, but be careful with the highlights in the clouds as the brightest spots appear a little blown out to me. Overall nice capture.

Reflecting on the Past

There is so much going on in this shot, I cannot find a place to rest my eyes. The highlights seem to be blown out and the sepia toning does not help define any focal points. Sorry, but it is not to my taste.

Looks like you may have had difficulty resizing? It is difficult to determine the quality of your picture from an image this size. The angle of the dock is interesting. The sky seems blown out and there is not much detail in the rest of the shot.

Nice vibrant colours and good focus. I find the shadows of the cactus a little detracting and think this shot may have presented better visually with a closer crop.

Spring

Lovely hillside of flowers. I find the soft focus not to my taste. The light seems rather flat, perhaps shooting at a different time of day (if possible) would have added more depth to the shot. Compositionally, to me, it seems out of balance with buildings on the left at the top of the slope and nothing but sky a a little tree on the right overemphasizing the slant of the hill.
