Summer Sunset Gardenby banmornComment: I love the balance in this shot. The colours in the flower are beautifully accented by the colurs in the background, DOF is awesome. Beautifully seen and captured. |

Day 9 - VERY Red Cannaby ephlnComment: Reds in bright light are very difficult to capture. I would suggest that you try my old standby favourite PP and use an adjustment levels layer, adjusting the input levels on the RGB settings but also adjusting the input and output levels on the Red settings. Another PP possibility is to add an adjustment layer for HSL and try different saturations using different blend modes such as overlay or soft light.
As far as capturing it in the first place, I like to take reds in the shade, maybe bring an umbrella and try a few shots that way? |

Day 9 Mandevilla IMG_0136.jpgby JerseyGenieComment: Lovely colours with the natural light. I agree with what has been said about the framing, perhaps trying it with a little more bg on the right and not as centred vertically. |

Day 8by skasubaComment: Very interesting to look at. The contrast of the dark and light contribute to various scenarios of the imagination to engage the viewer to look beyond a simple flower. |

Day 13 - In the Shadeby PrismComment: Originally posted by ursula: You combined 3 shots? How? For dynamic range or 3 different shots? The colour is very rich again. |
For dynamic range, sort of an HDR type processing. I use the -1 exposure as the background and then layer the 0 and the +1 exposure layers on top of that in overlay mode at 48% opacity and 22% opacity respectively. I then merged the layers and did a little more PP. Just an experiment to see how it would turn out. |

Make a Wishby lynnmarieComment: Great idea! The addition of your son makes a refreshing change to the usual dandelion seed shot. |

Day Eightby TuckersmomComment: The combination of colours really appeals to me. The petunias show well against the blue wall. Nicely done! |
