Not a very attractive scene, nothing to see which would pull tourists to your place. And taken from a very standard angle and height. If this was the scene you were stuck with you might try a extremely low angle, just a few cm above the ground, that would already make it more interesting. If possible also different time of day with more warm light. But first I would look for another scene, with at least some interesting elements, every town has some.

I really like the soft colors and the bit of haze in this image and the repeating patterns of the houses and the shadows on the road. I am just wondering whether cropping a small bit of the left side would improve it further, or whether that is needed to stop the eye wanting to move further out of the picture. Good one anyway.

I thought it would be impossible not to meet the challenge, but you are getting close. Nevertheless, a creative choice to make the flower sharp and colorful and the child B&W and out of focus. But I don't like image with partial desaturation. Sorry not appealing to me.

Brackish Waters

I like it. Really different. Still the town at the back but then showing the waters around it, good idea. A polariser might have removed some reflection so you could see into the water.

Looks very oversaturated to me. Otherwise a nice calm and attractive scene.

I am not very fond of partial desaturation, it is a bit overdone. But otherwise a fine image.

Could do with some more focus on the main subject (the flowers with water drops) by having a larger depth of field, more contrast or a composition with less background clutter. To start with you could crop away 1/3rd of the left.
