Awful news about the babies. Do magpies do that a lot? |
Yes, they do. Magpies are very smart, they often work together as a group and they eat anything they can get their hands on, young birds, mice, frogs, etc. They even came into our house (just a few feet) to steal cat food. One bird entered, while the others stood on the lookout. They also love to harass other animals (for example our rabbit) as a group, like local mobsters. Very funny to see. |

The Bloom at the End of the Worldby posthumousComment: Originally posted by tnun: Oh that Willem, no spring for he. Possible he doesn't know what the H stands for. |
I do, but still the image does not work for me. I looked at the image, not the title. I realised this was about the pandemic and this is currently happening in springtime, but still, for me it does not connect to the challenge theme.
As to the technical aspects, an image does not always have to be eye candy or technically perfect for me, but in my view a different technical approach should add to the message one wants to give with the image. I did not get that here.
I hope this add some further nuance to my explanation and score (2). At least I bothered to explain my score, which many others did not. |

Another Place IIby salmiakkiComment: Intriguing with those persons lined-up. We̢۪re they really spread like this or is this a combination of multiple images with the person moving between images? Very suitable for portrait format. |
