Chasing the Sunby anwarranaComment: Cropping this above the horizon makes a very nice image. If you really wanted to leave it in - straightening it would have been better, in my opinion. |

Photosynthesisby bvyComment: Nice - looks like maidenhair fern, but I'm guessing it is gingko. |

Piercing Radianceby romilComment: That's a special capture. And the sun on that building looks like a giant candle. Slightly strange mix with that sky over that 'industriscape'. |

Kids Fly Freeby benolsenComment: Although the context gives more perspective, with the bottom left side cropped out, this is a stronger image, in my opinion. Like the yellow in the sun. |

A Man and his Sheepby posthumousComment: 6 - Nice catch with the sheep looking at the camera. Like the unusual desaturation, although it seems a little odd on the man in the rear. Such a small portion of the image (the sheep's face/look) is key in this, that (although it still works as is) I wonder whether it would have been much stronger with a different crop, but difficult when the shears are at the other end of the frame. Also be good to see the shearer's face, but then that is 'another image' - and I doubt you'd get the excellent look on the sheep's face 'again'. This one does tell a story - including how dirty that sheep looks... |

Homeward Boundby BAMartinComment: Looked at this a few times now - despite the obvious, a very nice capture, which I'm sure you didn't have much time to .. 'capture' anyway. Love the look on the one that is being 'carted'. The whole lot - just a nice capture and image. |

River-9.jpgby SouthCoastOr3gonComment: Very nice portrait. I was going to comment earlier, especially about the sharper focus on the (very nice) log behind, but on looking at this again, perhaps actually softening that - to bring a more universal soft feel to this, may make this even better (and 'rescue' the slightly softer focus on the dog and allow him/her to dominate more). |
