7 - Mainly for the concept and effort. Criticism; sharper focus on 'one or the other'. In this kind of 'illusion', I think extreme attention to detail is required, from finger positioning to 'foam placement', etc. The tiled background seems to give a slightly 'uneven' appearance to the 'mirrored reflection', therefore in my opinion, may be detracting from the potential here. Angle also needs fine tuning, but a good effort overall, I just think that with further 'time' and detail, this could have been even better. Lastly, I think given the 'concept' and title, somehow 'revealing' the 'face of the son' a fraction more, is required, as at a quick glance, it is not easily discernible as a 'son/father'. edit:typo & sorry to see so many 1's. edit2:in retrospect, this really didn't 'meet the Challenge' (not a reflective surface), I guess your 'illusion' impressed me enough I 'forgot' that aspect of the Challenge (yet another reason I'd like to see the description on each voting page), had I not, would have been a 2/3/4, again for your efforts. Like to see this in the next 'illusions' type Challenge. Perhaps those 1's were 'not reflective surface DMC's' and not just 'this is a mirror DMC's'.

8 - Very nice colors. Criticism; wish the focus were more on the reflection here even though the geese(?) make a wonderful sight, for the Challenge, (and with calmer waters), their reflections would have been 'special'. Difficult shot I imagine trying to incorporate 'all', while still getting those 'flying geese'.

8 - Nice and different. Criticism; I can't quite discern if your focus is on the dragonfly reflection or on the 'real', but seems a sharp reflection so well done if that is where your focus was. Maybe a different crop and a play with the coloring, may have made this a better shot in my opinion. I like the way the 'branch'(?) has a warped reflection yet the dragonfly retains perspective.

8 - Very nice. The lighting and colors are subtle and good. Criticism; would like to have seen the focus on the reflection (forgive me if it is), with that a lot sharper and the 'real' less sharp, also reducing the noise/grain(?) in the forewater. Nice composition.

8 - Very nice and simple. Nice colors and the house lighting really enhances this shot. Criticism; difficult, given the time of day and my comment just now on the house lighting, but I would like to have somehow seen more (I can discern a fraction) of the 'mountains' in the reflection, if possible. A slight tighter crop on the left, cutting out that 'land/rock'(?) may have also made this better in my opinion. The only other thing I would like to have seen (and forgive me if I am wrong) is a sharper focus on the reflection, rather than the 'real', with perhaps (if possible) a touch more water at the 'fore'.

8 - Very good reflection. Criticism; whilst the house is well reflected, seems a little 'bland' in my opinion, but unsure how this could be improved. The shadows are nice dappled around, just in my opinion, the shot needs something to 'bring it alive' more, perhaps just a different time of day/light. I may be wrong, but seems also to me that your focus is on the reflection and not the 'real' so well done for that.

8 - This is very nice, think I said 'wow' when I first viewed it. Beautiful scene. Criticism; apologies in advance if I am wrong, but I would love to have seen the reflection sharper (the focus?) in this shot. The water/ice(?) is so 'glass' like, that it just seems even more potential in this shot. The rocks at the fore are a nice effect/contrast, just unsure on if they 'dominate'/detract from this shots potential.

8 - Nice. Criticism; it is the 'crispness'/sharpness that appeals to me most in this shot. A different crop, especially tighter on the right, may have made this better in my opinion. If also possible, a 'wait' for a 'different sky' may have also given this something 'extra'.

8 - Very nice, good color combinations and capture. Criticism; if it were possible, I keep imagining (cropping with hand in front of screen) how this would have looked cropped tighter (from right, perhaps up to the bench(?)), and then 'bigger'. The reflection is nice as is, but I wonder if 'more reflection' (ie: more vivid) could have been gained with a different focus, but you may have already done this (apologies if so), as I can even make out the bottom of the lake(?) at the foreground.

8 - Very nice. Like the color combinations, very soft. Criticism; might be wrong but seems to me the 'focus' is on the 'real' and not the reflection, so I would like to see the focus there, which would also make that 'more dominant'. Even a different crop (albeit making a different picture) excluding the bridge would be nice, but I do like the different 'aspect' with the bridge incorporated. A touch 'grainy' especially in the fore waters, but again, if the focus were directed different perhaps this could have been avoided, even if it meant the 'sky' gained it. Apologies if I am incorrect on the focussing. Like the title and was/am impressed with the 'moonrise'/shine - unique.
