Punk of Edenby the_urbaniakComment: 6 - Good perspective and nice colors. Just wish the punk had a deeper dof/more focus, as seems to be on the others. |

Abutilon Striatumby ArpeggioAngelComment: Originally posted by Telehubbie: That's an Abutilon of some sort, perhaps a Striatum.
Edit: I forgot that I had one in my workshop folder here, not as nice as yours though.

I'd say an abutilon too, aka Chinese Lantern. This link should help, in addition to the one above. Nice image and colors. |

The Poseby librodoComment: Was confident this was yours, glad I was right. Straight from the camera - framed like this, with the character of the 'fore' and the background subjects - very good, again, as usual. |

world cup feverby whiteroomComment: Was fairly confident this was yours. Again, very good moment/character capture. Temporary Note If you get 'bored' (and the quality size-wise is there) a crop/framing of 'Donald' be amusing... (still keen to see Lesotho Man triptych too). |

The Inspector by scalvertComment: Fooled me with that silk flower - guess I was so 'taken' with the capture (set-up or not), that despite wanting more detail in the flower (and I now know why there isn't), I obviously didn't 'inspect' it very well. Creative, as usual. Nice use of a peanut. Congratulations. |

summer by ursulaComment: 'Phew', glad I was right ( although there was another entry dangerously close to your style), but my money was on this. Beautiful abstract and colors, as usual. Congratulations. |

Pinkby Elvis_LComment: I gave this a 5. I know how difficult it is to photograph crepe myrtles - a tripod is likely the only way unless you get very good lighting as well. The color seems true to me and not oversaturated, although the line is very thin on in-camera color reproduction. The tips given by Dr Achoo are very helpful there. Again, difficult to photograph the color with these flowers. If this were sharper and a variation in composition to give more overall balance and allow for a better 'study' of this beautiful flower, make this even better in my opinion. edit:typoMessage edited by author 2006-07-10 17:22:42. |

Sproutingby sogoz23Comment: 8 - Like this. More refined 'in camera' framing/crop likely make this even better - quality dependent, perhaps tighter on the left and 'using' that 'little one' on the right as well. Very good 'straight from the camera' shot. |
