Caught in the Actby EmerkazaComment: 3 - Good potential. Tighter crop at the fore, softer lighting and less distracting surrounds, make this better in my opinion. Frame detracts. |

Smokeyby Judith PolakoffComment: 7 - This is nice, but the 'sudden' change from the fur to the 'black', is a little odd on first glance. Like to have seen Smokey just a little more facing camera. Beautiful coat and eyes, like to have seen even more detail/texture there, especially at the point closest to the camera - which could be focal issues, not sure, as seems sharper on the far side of the face. As he/she is looking 'out' of frame, perhaps a more vertical crop/framing would have given this an edge. |

Chesterby JenniferDavidGAComment: 3 - Don't mind the perspective or even the tight crop, but looks like resizing issues, plus the eyes are dirty and there is a bit of grain/noise and also not sure that this toning is working as well as a variation may have. |

Spirit, female German Shepherdby hahn23Comment: 6 - Nice straight portrait - like to have seen a variation in lighting or using dof in a different way perhaps for more pop. Sunlight looks like itis on her neck.. so perhaps the potential was there for a variation, who knows. |

Finneganby CitadelComment: 2 - ... Finnegan seems to be all tongue and yellow eyes. Fixing the flash eyes and a variation in perspective would have helped this in my opinion. As is, this image is .. a bit odd. |

So Tiredby kevip6Comment: 2 - Not quite fitting the Challenge in my opinion, perhaps a good image elsewhere, but not for this Challenge. |

You are in my Power :: Vote 10by kiwinickComment: 5 - Reflections in the eyes dominate more than the eyes do in my opinion. Second thing my eye is drawn to is the 'wet' mouth. Bokeh is nice. |

Mans best friendby inanutshellComment: 3 - Dog looking at or at least 'toward' camera and the lighting much more subtle, make this better in my opinion. |

Freddieby BethieBComment: 3 - Looks like resizing issues primarily. Variation in crop and framing, likely have helped this too in my opinion. |
