Did a search for 'colibri' Costa Rica and found this site Costa Rica Bird Photographs, with this image of a Blue Chested Hummingbird - Amazilia amabilis. Looks to be the same bird. Your image is a great deal better than that though. The identification may be helpful, but apologies in advance if you already knew.

The colors and patterns on the chest are beautiful. Again, wish it were bigger, but perhaps this was as big as you could go.

At the risk of sounding Pythonesque - beautiful plumage on this bird. Thank you for sharing these images. Certainly do a good job of showcasing the treasures of Costa Rica.

Very glad to see this full size again. I had looked a few times for it when you were not a member. Good to see the several others of yours I have as Favorites too. This one is a classic and special capture.

8 - Nice confidence capture. Despite the seemingly 'off balanced' nature to this, I still think it works. The hair perhaps 'softer' looking - but that's a personal thing.
