8 - Very nice. Beautiful colors. Like how you left half the trunk in, in fact if it was even more dominant.. but your call, of course.

You might want to check your monitor, I can see quite a few overexposed areas, but most importantly on the face. Unless this is an effect you were going for.

7 - Nice scene. Really like the mountains in the distance. Toning suits this well. Likely a lot more detail 'wall sized' and probably quite impressive.

7 - Nice scene, colors and composition. Never would have guessed Scotland, although should have recognized the Gaelic name. Had to look it up, links and extracts which you may be interested in (apologies if you've already seen it) - SummitPost.org:

"Stob Ghabhar (pronounced Stop Gower) sits at a height of 3576ft/1090m and is listed as No.55 in the Munro tables. Its translation into English from Gaelic means Peak of the Goat."

And from Wikipedia Stob Ghabhar: "Stob Ghabhar is a Scottish mountain situated nine kilometres north west of Bridge of Orchy. It is part of the Black Mount group of mountains and stands on the border of the Argyll and Bute and Highland council areas."

Certainly a bit of a climb!

5 - Like the scene. Wonder whether a more refined crop, especially on the left, may have made this even stronger. Fairly minor, but looks like it needs a slight rotation up on the right to straighten. Nice sky behind, including color. Be nice to be able to see the detail in the stained glass windows more, but as is, perhaps a toning or b&w may have given it something extra, but your call, of course. This image was my 40,000th vote at DPC.

8 - Beautiful portrait. Colors are nice. Sure this will be a treasure for the family. Minor, but the little something top left distracts slightly (once you notice it). Lighting is nice.

They are nice colors. Nice scene. Wish the 'something' upper left was cloned out or (maybe, not sure) even cropping it. Mostly wish this were 640.
