GILL2802.jpgby gisliComment: Amazing color intensity - the angle makes it appear like luminescent green chimney smoke (minus the chimney). Curious about the 'sparkling' somethings in the foreground snow(?). |

The Way Home by LalliSigComment: Didn't get to this one during voting, but it is amazing, as are all the shots I see on DPC of the Aurora Borealis, especially yours. I really like that dead straight line you've included in this and the way the aurora is fanning across that incredible starry night sky. Thank you for sharing these images and good to hear you never tire of them. An image of this is one thing but to see this in person, especially the first time, must be literally breathtaking. In imagining being there, I wonder --- just how cold is it out there in the middle of the night? |

Boards and Rocksby CutterComment: Tones work well, like the composition and also the 'human element' - just wish that he were not in front of that dark line so could be more apparent. I like the subtle hint of shadows at the fore/bottom and hint of clouds at the top. edit:wordingMessage edited by author 2008-03-11 07:49:06. |

Watching the Sunsetby AnnComment: I gave this a 6. Colors are beautiful - I see you dropped the saturation - bet you were amazed you had to do that. From what I recall, I think the shallow dof wasn't 'working' as much I envisioned in this Challenge (hence the score). |

San Diego Hospice Therapy Dogsby AnnComment: "I got exactly one group shot of the dogs. You did well then. Almost got them all looking at the camera. That's a challenge. |

macrothingby AnnComment: I didn't vote on this Challenge, but just wanted to acknowledge and say 'thank you' (albeit a little late) for using my 'name'. Nice view of this cactus flower - some of them have a glorious perfume. Beautiful and intricate flowers. |

Assimilateby RKTComment: Is it a vase? Or some type of strange multiple exposure photographic trickery? I didn't get to this while voting. It's interesting - sure looks like you got a kick out of it (good for you). |

Heiligenscheinby AgaricusComment: Interesting image. Never seen a farmhouse situated right in the middle of a fully irrigated crop. The green is rich. I'm sure there is a scientific explanation for the halo, but I can't explain it without 'research'. |

Gilbert's Barnby darnoldComment: Your Photographer's Comments are "OK by rules" ...very amusing. Good luck getting your four legged assistant to really assist.
That sky is still amazing. |
