I remember this image from one of the first challenges I voted on. It got a 9 then and still intrigues me today. I love the crop, the diagnols (sp) and the contrasting texture. One of my all time favotrites.

Fun shot. I hate flies! You make it almost look appealing. You've got the fly in focus while the rest of the shot supports that bug. Wonderful shot for such an ugly insect.

Wonderful shot. You've captured the remarkable place that I saw in Sonoma. The grass between the rows really adds to this shot. Moving the open line vines to the right 1/3 really helps this composition. I appreciate your comment on my vineyard shot. You shot make ME want to get back to Cali and shoot again.

I love the lighting and tones in this shot. The mood is not an easy one to pick up on, but comes across as a bit bored and a bit defiant. Nice shot.

Davd, Yes, to many this is probably over the top colorwize - but don't change it. It gives this scene a wonderful fantasy look that compliments the southern Utah time and place. A favorite.

Beautiful colors and reflections. I like the feel. The sharpening works very well for most of the image, except along the edge of sky and mountain where it left a white edge. Good shot. I agree with alfresco about the dark area on the right. The shape adds, but the lack of visual info doesn't. It's still a strong image.

At first, this image looks straight from the viewfinder. Then, I notice white in the leaves around the bridge and later in the grass. What has he done here? There is a subtle sense or the sureal. I think it adds that atmosphere you were looking for.
