You've managed to capture Miss Betty's personality in this close up. The tones, colors, contrast and composition are strong. The DOF really works and the pose is awesome. This is a nice candid. You've caught a wonderful expression and moment in time. The composition is good with strong interest focused on your subjects. The lighting is a bit problematic, with filtered sun creating uneven patches. You were able to keep most of that away from your daughter's face. This is an image to cherish.

This is an interesting carving and very different from the other entries. It is very effective. The tire in the back left corner is distracting, as well as the canvas and pumpkin at the top right. Even so, it's nicely done. 8

I really like this shot. Your pumpkins have interesting expressions with a great glow AND expterior detail. The setup in the doorway (?) works very well with the texture adding interest, yet not taking away from the subject. Very well done. 8

You've got an interesting concept here which takes this shot out of the common "shoot the pumpkin" image. I especially like the fact that the subject is male and is juggling emotion - nice. The technical aspects, the concept works - congratulations. I expect to see this shot on the front page. 8

You've captured a nice glow here, especially through the pumpkin walls. I originally gave it a 4 and am bumping it to 5. It is a pleasant shot, but is missing the extra umph that add the wow.
