love this shot... I actually try to achieve this every time i go camping, with mixed results, never anything as perfect as this, so I know its not easy. I think the key is to block the actual fire. The image at once encompasses the sublime beauty of this earth along with the wonder of being out in and experiencing that sublimity. One of two 10's so far. GL.

Yowza! Composition is just right, and it is a beautiful scene, my only complaint is that the foreground looks like day and the sky looks like night, just doesn't come together as a congruous scene for me.

Earth, wind & water

At first glance, this image seemed very nice but nothing too special.. then I noticed the repetition of the ripples in the water, sand, and clouds, and all of a sudden began to see this world shaped by the wind and came to a deeper appreciation of your image. I hope others feel the same!
