Unthinkable 100 Years Ago by TiberiusComment: I left a comment in the forum thread that mentioned this image but also wanted to add that I think the foreground detracts from the image and sort of disrupts it by chopping off the legs of the tourists, and that yellow/red line just kinda looks like police caution tape or construction tape or something and also just sort of doesn't work for me. Having said that, the more I look at the image the more I do like it. The guard standing there in the middle overseeing the people moving through seems sort of reminiscent of the authority vs the people conflict that resulted in that massacre years ago, and I like how he is aligned with the portrait of this emblematic Chinese historical figure. In fact the top 80% of the shot is pleasing. |

Stepsby MelethiaComment: love the perfectly balanced, geometric composition, and the still foot is the perfect accent on this street scene. So nice. |

IMG_7137.jpgby CorySmithComment: wow, awesome, creative use of the fish-eye in this shot. Most fish eye shots yous are of urban landscapes or close ups of people and stuff but to take a sort of 'macro' close up of an object like this is different and cool. Image feels very 3D. |

Way out of Hereby CorySmithComment: awesome shot man... that barren landscape looks most un-hospitable. The image makes me think of a space ship flying over an alien planet, which I imagine might not be too far from the truth of a soldier's experience out there. |

Reflecting by kiwinessComment: I always click on this photograph when I see it's thumbnail and its impact has not diminished with multiple viewings. Something about the model, her eyes, the dress, the reflection... really just an enchanting feel to the image and I am drawn in as if it were a siren's song. Beautiful |
