in contrast with the 'taps' picture, I dont think the selective desat of the sky does anything here.. the sole point of focus works well here, almost wish there was a little bit more blur.

Birdbath

a few things: 1) The slow shutter makes the drops look great but it seems to have come at the cost of making the rest of the image soft 2) The interesting part of the image are the birds and they are too small to really look at or see their feathers ruffling and what not, I think this image with a longer lens would be great 3) As a result of the lens choice the background is distracting as it is not sufficiently blurry, or alternatively, the 'in focus' background as it is has too many distracting elements like the fence/lamps.

As my old boss told me, If you think you are close to your subject, get CLOSER, hah. Always get closer, usually makes shots more dynamic

the perspective makes the human figure dwarfed by the power of nature, very cool shot. I have this lens and am surprised to not see distortion!

I'm sorry but that is just silly, a mistake in communication should not be fatal to validation, no matter WHAT. If there is no physical evidence of you making the change you 'claimed' to have made, it should not count.

ISO 800? Lol, I literally almost never take my camera off of ISO 200, and anything above 400 is unusable :(
