The addition of the foreground element is definitely a good move- it breaks up the symmetry of the bridge and makes for a more compelling composition. Having said that, I feel as though this particular log just has too much 'ugliness' in it... the top half of the pic is serene like an impressionist painting, but the bottom half, while good from a compositional standpoint, just does not match up. The branches and the mud are just a little too busy and unappealing. Personally, i like the color scheme, maybe would be good to see with less cyan tho...

This image is sensational - really different, very awesome. My only bone to pick is that the colors look fluorescent and I don't think that is necessary. Concept and execution is just beautiful, would love to see a 'tamer' version too. For now i shall fave this.

don't understand why this wasn't higher, maybe because the lighting and closeness to the subject almost makes it look like a studio shot
