I love how the face so smoothly blends into the light. Not so sure about the ice. (If there is symbology there I didn't get it.) But it doesn't really drage the image down either. Just seems a tiny bit out of place. I like the idea though, perhaps smoother ice, or something else that was a smoother shape... But overalll a very well done image. I feel you should have scored in the top ten. Very nicely done.

I think you did an excellent job of using the empty benches to isolate your subject and bring the proper mood to this image. Too many people would have been tempted to crop tightly to the man. The processing and lighting fit very well here, giving the image a harsher, colder feel. Very nice work, and congratulations on a very well deserved riboon.

I like the overall effect, but the moon is way over exposed. I would like to see this one with multiple exposures to produce an HDR image. I'm giving you an 8, but I think the moon will hurt your score in the end.
