Sunset at the Old Harborby docpjvComment: I really like the colors and the effect here. It appears to me, that this is one of those pictures that the larger it is the better it works. I could see this as poster size in a gallery or as a large art piece (20 x 30) or larger in a home. |

Incense for Valintine's day.by docpjvComment: I agree with a previous comment that a darker background might have been more effective. I do like the symmetry here. Three cones, three flames, three layers on the base. Cropping at the ends of the base, is an interesting idea for me as well. |

Universe in a Shellby docpjvComment: Way cool! Looks like an abalone shell to me. Absolutely beautiful shell, and the full grown ones are tasty as well. I really like the rainbow of colors here. |

A Break In Stormy Skiesby docpjvComment: I don't think this one got the attention or votes it deserved. In one respect, the clouds compete with the city a bit. But at the same time, it could be seen as a ray of hope through polluted skies. (The sepia treatment reminds me of a smoggy city.) |

in the heat of the nightby JutildaComment: The texture, the edges, and the whips of color make this image pop. This is so much more, than it would have been fully lit. Excellent choice on the lighting. |

Wildwood Flower (the Carters)by JutildaComment: I have to agree, the light is wonderful. I find myself wanting a little burning of the green leafy part, and maybe also the brown behind it. The yellow flow of the flower base is magical. |

Santa Babyby JutildaComment: I like the lock of hair over her right eye. But it really emphasizes her left eye. I'm wondering how it would look if a tiny bit of color was allowed to creep back in? |

a poet and a one man bandby JutildaComment: I'm a sucker for B&W, and hight contrast with plenty of shape and texture, only make it better. I particularly like the light in his hair. |

Ghosts in the Waterby JutildaComment: It takes a second to see the ghost. Which may be why this image did not score higher. Love the strong saturation, and the razor sharp focus. Nice work! |
