Color is very good here. I really like the yellow of the boats. Brightness, hue, and focus are done well.

However, the brightness of the boats, and the foreground boat jutting into the picture, do not appear restful to my eye. I would have trouble sleeping amongst those boats and bright colors.

The foreground boat almost seems to threaten the sleeping woman.

Personally, I would like to see the foreground boat out of the way, and the woman in the other boat.

Oh, very nice!

Color, saturation, hue, brightness, contrast and exposure are all done very well.

It could just be an optical illusion cause by the ground dropping away to the left of the trail, and a lean of the closest tree on the left, but the camera seems to have been a little off level.

The trail comes of as a little centered, but as good as the rest of the picture is, it isn't bad. Rule of thirds purists, may have voted you down a bit.

Overall a very good photo and it makes me want to go there to experience this too.

I like the idea, and the picture brings back memories. The pose may not be the most flattering.

I too would rather see the joy in their faces.

Lighting, color, contrast, saturation, hue, focus and depth of field are all done well.

It's good to try to think outside the box, just sometimes works better than others.

Interesting picture....

The horizon is just about along the upper rule of thirds line.

The horizon is a little curved. Wide angle lens? I see a cloudy sky, so no shadows makes sense. However, the sky near horizion is so bright as to be blown out and featureless. The spray winds up dissapearing into it. I would have liked it a bit better, if that hadn't happened.

Otherwise color, saturation, and hue, as well as focus and depth of field work very well.

I like this picture.

Nice sharp detail with a good depth of field. Lighting is good. Color, saturation and hue are very good.

I'm going to have to go with the others and say that the green background is unappealing. Just doesn't seem to fit with the food.

I would like to have seen some milk in the spoon. I don't eat cereal dry, but my niece does, so it isn't huge on that point. (I hear they use white glue for the milk.) I also hear they spray the fruit with oil to make them look fresher. The berries do not look bad here, but is a thought.

For a backround a bowl of cereal, ceral box, several ideas come to mind. Whether they were rendered sharp or soft with a shallow depth of field, I think it might have worked better and the angle of the spoon less critical.

Color, saturation and hue are good. Brightness and contrast are OK.

Lighting makes the picture look a little flat. I can tell by what I see that there must be a lot of texture there, I just don't see it with this lighting.

You've followed the rule of thirds, but what happens here (at least for me) is the eye follows the windows to the the bright sky above the bit too soft trees. Once there, the sky is pale and featureless.

The windows are a nice effect, they just keep leading us to nowhere. I believe that is why you received the "forced" comment below. The windows command so much attention, that they really need a powerful subject when you get there.

I have no idea which way this builing faces, but a sunset in that window with some fill flash on this side, would be killer for me.

Focus is nice and sharp. Depth of field is used well to remove background distractions.

Color, saturation, hue, brightness and contrast are done well.

I would like to see either more, or less, frog body here. The eye starts at the frog's eye, but is soon lead by the ridge on the frog's body up and out of the picture. Result is that it is not a natural end point. Postioning the frog so that either the entire body is included; or that only the head is present would have worked better for me.

Congratulations on making the top half of the class.

Five first place ribbons.... I'm offically intimidated now...

Wow! I like everything about this picture. The two biggest features that strike me are the great detail in the hand, and how the depth of field gently holds the viewer's focus there.

Were I asked to suggest any possible improvement, I might try a sepia effect, to warm the picture just a little.

Congratulations on a great photo, and a very well deserved top 10 finish.

Focus is good.

Color, saturation and hue are good as well.

The positon and angle of the tree leads the eye out and off the top left of the frame. The overly large ornament competes for attention. If the story being told is that the ornament caused the crash, then the debris around the tree is OK. I assume the tree is not being discarded, at the title tallks about being too soon.

The red backdrop postioned where it is, leaves exposed white wall that also is distracting. There isn't enough there in this view to really tell us that the tree caused the wall to be exposed.

The picture is nice and sharp, and you did a good job with the depth of field.

Pretty picture...

I like the sky. For a featureless sky you did well, adding a little interst to it with the polarizer. I'd also vote to eliminate the white spot in the water. It's too small to see what it is, and winds up being distracting.

What I see here, is two sets of leading lines. The lamp posts take us in one direction, to the right. The shoreline tries to guide us to the left, and a tug of war results. As the viewer, I wind up trying to decide what the real subject is. The buildings are a little soft. A smaller f-stop would help here. The lamps are sharp but lead us almost off teh edge of teh frame, and then we have to cross over them to follow the shoreline and road.

My focus keeps winding up at the construction site near the white and red buildings, which is close to center of the picture.

If you could have gotten a bit to the left of this vantage point, the lamps would have lead the viewer in concert with the shore line and that might help.

Overall this is a pretty picture that I enjoyed looking at. Wish I had one like this in my summer vacation book this year.
