Hidden (Not Quite)by tmhallingComment: Okay I love the steam/smoke/sky tones very cool and along with the plant it fits the challenge perfectly. However, I'm not sure how I'm liking the trees in the foreground though. I see what you were going for hiding the (refinery I'm guessing) plant but I guess I would have liked to see more detail in the foreground subjects as well. 6 for awesome contrast in the sky and tack sharp detail in the plant structures. |

Last One Standingby slav_kComment: I love this shot, where is it? U.K? Why do I think of Pink Floyd when I'm looking at this?
Okay, about your shot: Seems a bit dark on my end on the left hand side. I'm sure that's due to your primary light source coming from the right. This building has so much character show it off more! I think in this case you might want to bump up the brightness a tad to help this shot out. Also feels a bit heavy on the left. I use the Measure Tool in PhotoShop to correct tilted horizons like you have here. Finally, I think if you played with Hue/Saturation a bit I think it would bring out the blue and yellows in your sky and red tones in the power plant. I think this would make this shot just EXPODE off the viewers monitor.
I hope this helps and good luck with this challenge! |

dryerby undieyatchComment: Love the coolness (is that a word?) this shot produces. I think you chose the right way to go with the grain and contrast you've used here. Great job. |

Winkin', Blinkin' and Nodby taterbugComment: This looks all too familiar to me. My father worked for Utah Power & Light for a very long time, and this looks JUST like Gatsby seam generation plant in downtown SLC. If it's not it's a very close match to a power plant in my home town. ;)
About the shot. Beautiful, I love the yellows in the foreground and the lighting of the plant in the background. DOF is great and the motion blur of the trees gives this a feeling of surreal proportions. OUTSTANDING JOB! 10 from me.
I had thought of shooting this but wasn't sure if it would be okay or not. |

The Decorkerby TommyMoe21Comment: For some reason this reminds me of the movie Dead Ringers. Great study in b/w. |

Bikies Christmas Toy Runby JudiComment: Awe man, I just put my girl away for the winter. I really like the idea you have here but I would have liked to see it at a different angle to get the whole bike in the shot. They are awesome machines, show off the whole package! |
