Flags of Our Fathersby jasonlpriceComment: Originally posted by coryboehne: Raising the Flag huh? Well, this does reflect a happier time in America doesn't it?
good point. sadly we seem to raise the flag too many times and never taken the damn things down! we are still in japan and germany let alone the other 129 nations with usa bases. please cut the people of our nation some slack, we never voted for empire.
I think this is probably a treasure for the family, and I think it's pretty darn nice too.. 8.. |

look to the far end of the image and you will see that this was rotated on purpose so that the horizon line is perfect.

the long commuteby oldbimmercoupeComment: Originally posted by rhadshaw: I like the viewpoint on this shot; it provides an interesting perspective. However, there is a bit of a colour cast from the florescent lighting (a yellow/green cast in the highlights in the floor and on the seat sides) that detracts from the image in my eyes. Have you tried a black and white conversion on this image? |
its called toning with gradients. look it up. |

Not Securedby dbordelonComment: as the only 10 voter here, let me opine that dpc is the graveyard for any artist that deals with abstracts, geometrics, etc. as anchors to quality composition. they are all about "tone mapping" some hideous hdr mess and pawning it off as "art" - it is a losing battle, but kudos for "staying in their face."
