I guess I have to join you...I can't make up my mind which of the two I like better. This has the nice bold shadows while the other is relaxed and casual. Actually, both of them use lighting/shadows and body language to convey their respective messages. I guess I vote for both (can you do that?).

Superb use of light...the details in your hair on the left (your right) side are remarkable...every single hair can be seen. Overall, the photo is well done too.

I live in Hawaii. I see lots of fans because there are many Asian women living here. I thought they were just pretty - I didn't know I was in mortal danger... Many of the women also carry parasols...I thought it was to keep the sun off their faces...but they are probably bazookas.

Whoa. Spending some serious cash to buy photo props, eh? I use a white sheet as bg. You use a new car. Lol.

BTW, I like how you got this straight-on shot and the camera is not in the pic. Nice job of keeping it out of the frame.

Nicely done. The others have covered all the bases, so I'll just add that I like the setting you've chosen, it adds to the calm expression in your face and body language.

Splat.

He was such a good guy...but should have stayed away from heights. ;)

As for the photo. I think you've done a good job making the leap seem believable. Not easy to time things like this. The shadows are not distracting to me, but the building is a bit "busy". I know it was the only one available, but I think a windowless wall would have made a cleaner image. Still, it's done well. Your expression looks like it was an intense effort.

(I assume: No people or animals were hurt in the making of this photo.)

I like the soft feel to this image and the use of negative space. I agree with Jutilda. A very appealing photo.
