Still of new lifeby wimekComment: Greetings from Critique Club.
I see that this is your first challenge entry. Welcome to DPC. I suppose it is fitting, because this is my first critique as a member of the critique club.
I think your photo lacks a strong subject. From your description, it is clear that you are trying to photograph the beauty in the everyday, and that the willow seeds are your subject. There are a few things that you can do to draw attention to it. First, get in close. Getting in close will fill more of the frame with your subject, so that other parts of the photograph dont compete for attention. Next, set your aperture wider (f3.5 on your lens for example), to decrease the DOF, making the background a blur, and isolating your subject.
I hope you are not discouraged by your score. My first entry wasn't that great either, but one can learn a lot from this place.
Hup Holland!! |

Enjoyby QuigleyComment: Nicely done Max, great score. I was convinced that this was Leo's image when I was previewing the thumbnails. |

The Ultimate Driving Machine by bassboneComment: At first, I didnt think this was a BMW, but I knew I had see this before. I am assuming this is bassbone, as I just saw a similar photo on your portfolio, and after reading the description, I see that this is a Beemer. Great photo, and my choice for the blue (my only 10). Good luck. |

My Little Peopleby KenComment: Nice use of tilt shifting. Your effect is convincingly miniature. |

Miniature Cityby pointandshootComment: As miniature, Im not sure this works. But as an abstract, I think this shot in phenominal. I wont leave a vote because it doesnt meet the challenge IMO, but this is in my favourites because I really like it. |
