Dam Noiseby PrismComment: This photo has a few things going for it. But as usual, there are a few things against it. As far as the challenge goes, at a low resolution setting on a monitor this shows a lot of image grain and also a lot of detail that is lost with higher resolution monitors. But at higher resolutions not only is the image grain lost, but the detail that is great at lower resolutions becomes too busy. The bottom edge of the photo appears washed out for some reason. Not sure why. A slightly different crop, like maybe 2/3's of the dam may have worked better. Could use a levels adjustment as well as a slight contrast boost to bring out the detail in the image. The rays are a boost. Overall it is a good capture. I think more detail in the crop and post processing would have made this a wow image. I also like the play on words with the title. Again, just would like to see it processed and cropped a little differently. |

Window to Her Wondrous Soulby lynnesiteComment: Where is the image grain? This is a stunning, moody, very well done photograph. I have actually added it as a favorite. But I just don't see any image grain. |

Little Kid Noiseby sir_bazzComment: Very cute child and a really great capture. Nice colors and lighting. But I just don't see any image grain. In fact the image is quite crisp looking. |

Schwinn Bikeby sfarrell23Comment: Where is the image grain? A rough wall does not make image grain. I ilke the photo and processed in black and white is perfect. But the only 'grain' I see is in the texture of the wall behind the bicycle. |

'32 Ford Roadsterby tfarrell23Comment: Where is the image grain? I just don't see it. It is a nice image and I think the processing makes it pop quite a bit. But I just don't see the image grain in the pic. |

Spiritedby jenesisComment: This is a nice image and for another challenge it may be ok. But I just don't see image grain in this image. Her face is absolutely clear. Her arm appears a bit grainy, but nothing else does. |
