Countryside viewby SSSSComment: haha, I just posted in the forums I am not liking all the candids I am seeing in this portrait challenge, but then YOU go and bug the hell out of me by entering what is essentially a candid, but then making it one of the best shots of the challenge (so far, about halfway through voting).. You are messing with my head!!
4 or 9, 4 or 9...
dammit - 9 :) |

Is everybody ready?by sniperComment: Quite harsh processing here.. using a wider aperature to blur the background a bit would of seperated the subjects from the BG a little. not really breathtaking. 4 |

... I Do!by edmengComment: Wooohoooo, now I cant have a go here about shoe-horning this shot into the challenge as I have done that with my "searching" entry this week. However, this isnt really a portrait, I wont say DNMC (although it is borderline) I would class this more as Group Candid. Not bad overall. 6
as a subnote - the way that shoulder of the person behind the bride protrudes from her chest makes it look like she has HUGE busswabs. :) |

Just Happyby bigfellaComment: Far too much processing here makes the kids skin look very plasticy. I will up you a point or two for doing what a lot of people here forgot to do and that is crop in nice and tight, you did a good job here and managed to omit most of the distracting background. Overall this deserves a 6 - I'd expect this to finish around the mid-table mark. |

Five Seconds After "Cheese"by TCGuruComment: I am not digging the moody look on the kids faces, kids are supposed to be full of fun and frivolity, not looking as though they are in a police line-up. post-processing looks a bit harsh to me. 6 |

Overheadby levyj413Comment: Not really striking me as a group portrait, more like a group candid, I wont say DNMC, but its bordering on that.. still, a good shot and interesting angle.. 6 |

From Aboveby notesinstonesComment: OK am liking this one, the lighting from above works very well. Pity about the tiles on the floor they are quite distracting, but on this occasion I am willing to ignore them and concentrate on the image as a whole.. working well for me here. 8 |

Bad Girlsby NikonJebComment: quite a fun shot. Not overly keen on the BW conversion you have got going on here, would of been nicer with a bit more contrast. Try using the channel mixer to convert shots to BW, this has a feel of a "convert mode to grayscale". not a bad effort, I'd expect this to finish mid-table somewhere. 6 |

Action at the weddingby kiskatComment: LOL, a scene I see week after week when I shoot weddings. However, poor focus or maybe a slow shutter hasnt helped matters here.. tweaking the white balance a little bit would of bought out the more natural colours. Quite a flat feeling image and not really a group portrait, more like a group candid. so so in my book. 5 |
