I like this idea, but it needs more depth of focus and the highlights are blown erasing the detail. Cutting off the right prong has harmed the image too.

I love the texture in this image, on the wall, on the pipe and its grill. It conveys what you wanted; a dark, smelly place. A place people seldom see (or smell). It's the side of life we all ignore; the dreggs of our past actions.
The 'water' below the pipe is dark and little is visible, but I don't really want to see what's there.
The green foilage on the left, although dark, suggests that even here, in this cesspool life goes on and somehow survives.
The image works on many levels.
