Looks like a great pie! Because the colors are all in the same range, the most interesting part of the image for me is the lighting - I like that you have a brighter bit & a shadow. I think it would work better for me if the shadow were given more room to show ... maybe a larger crop so that the pie is in the upper right quadrant and the shadow given a chance to play itself out on the counter.

Interesting! I like the shallow depth of field and the onion being forefront. I wish that the date weren't there, and that the onion were on a surface other than white, so that it stood out more. Good luck!
