I usually enjoy lots of negative space, but I think that, for me, for an image like this to work there has to be something really worth looking at in the smaller space. Unfortunately, the glasses hide what is probably a very cute dog, and the glasses just aren't interesting enough to make me want to look at them for long.

I think it's tough to for a picture like this to stand out, especially in this type of challenge. In yours, I'm having trouble finding the focal point, which distracts me.
