forsaken wangonby hayleesComment: Very good subject for the challenge, however I can't see very much of it due to the angle the picture was taken. Plus, the overexposed area at the top pretty much distracts from the photo as well. I don't know if you would have been able to get there, but taking this picture looking down the other way with your back to the sun would have been more effective. |

25 cents a gallonby pearlseyesComment: Oh, the good 'ol days. Very fitting for the challenge. I'm not sure, though, that I like the angle and the crop. Perhaps getting a little closer and getting more detail of the old gas pump would have been better. The sepia tone is fitting here. Good luck 8 |

R.I.P.by The EskimoComment: Good job on this photo. The lighting and composition is perfect. The flower and its shadow on the paper adds a nice touch. I was going to add that you should have used a bigger font on the RIP because you can hardly see it...LOL DUH. There's a little bit of glare on the space bar, but who cares...I like it. Fits the challenge subject perfectly. 10 |

the LightHouse that used to "Stand Alone"by jessieComment: It is sad that they built up around that lighthouse. I suppose they had to, but still. This picture really protrays the challenge subject of obsolete. Technically, the only thing that I don't like is how more than half of the lighthouse is in shadow. Perhaps taking this more in the middle of day would have worked better. |

Wheels of timeby RiponladyComment: Nice subject. However, the picture is overexposed and appears over sharpened. Try taking this picture later in the day or use a shorter exposure time. |

Once used every dayby JohannesFrankComment: A very pretty picture and nicely focused. I really like the colors. I'm just not sure what the subject is and what it was used for. 8 |

Out-Houseby HighwayFlowerComment: Good take on the challenge. I think a tighter crop might have been effective. |

78 rpm recordsby U622Comment: Nicely done. I might have cropped more at the bottom though. The sepia tone is nice and fitting. The painting makes for a nice background. 9 |

Wagon Wheelby glad2badadComment: I know this is picky, so please forgive me. This is obviously a restored (painted) wheel. You did well in capturing it with the close crop and the lighting is nice. I think it would look more authenic in B&W. |
