this is a very fun shot. my only complaint would be that through the trees it looks like its still dusk outside which kind of ruins the 'night time w/neon lights' mood (i know, its a nit).

nice symmetry and colors. the glass is so well lit that i think you could have reduced the gamma (light) overall in the picture, boosted the saturation a bit and had an even stronger picture with strong bright colors contrasting against a darker background.

Broken glass

i like the composition. i think it would have been more powerful if you had been able to use the lighting and post processing to hide the black matt even further. i just copied into my photo software, decreased the light (gamma), increased the contrast and it was too dark overall, but the backdrop became invisible and i'm sure playing around with light and processing you could have achieved that outcome w/great effect.

looks like a nice day for a fight. i love the sky through the chess pieces. i wonder if using the dof helps here - it might have been pretty neat if the far pieces were also in focus and we were seeing the sky through them as well.

wow - i hope you didn't have to take this shot to many times. very neat photo, great capture of action, only complaint is that i assume the glass is being shattered but i can't make out any of the pieces from the water (and maybe its a little over exposed) but still, very cool.

neat photo . . . but i'm not sure of what. a decrease in the gamma (light) and a boost in the saturation (color) might have made the objects stand out a bit stronger.
