A Bridge above the othersby andrewlrComment: Greetings from the Critique Club.
Congratulations on a very good photo. This was certainly one of the most creative shots for the challenge. There isn't much I can say to add to this photo. I really like the purplish hue in the photo it does give it a nice soft look. Sorry that I can't add more but the photo is very nice and I can't see any other way doing it. Looking forward to seeing your stuff in future challenges. |

Vineby jimmyn4Comment: Thanks for all the nice comments everyone. I decided not to title this with a number as there are a couple of different numbers in there so I left it to the viewer to decide. |

First impression is that this meets the challenge and is a very good photo. I have to say that there might be too many lines. This is still a fine photo though. There isn't really much else for me to add. You took a good photo and met the challenge. Keep it up. |

Pansyby DennisFComment: I'm not sure I like all of the negative space. Maybe a tighter crop? I think you met the challenge well though. Good work and good luck. |

Soft Lightby jimmyn4Comment: The slant and the soft focus were intentional, hence the title soft light. I tried for a more focused picture and it looked bad. The cord was too sharp taking away from the lamp so I went with soft focus. I think this is one of my better works but I guess most of you didn't like it. Oh well. BTW, thanks for all of the comments. Message edited by author 2003-03-10 08:14:55. |

Runs fine, Only has 300,00 miles.by WILDBLUEComment: Greetings from the Critique Club.
This is interesing take on the despair challenge. Seems like an orginal idea to me which is a good thing. I think there really isn't much wrong with this photo. I like the B&W and framing. I really think you did very good with this challenge and look forward to your photos for future challenges. |

Beauty in Iceby lorazepamComment: Greetings from the Critique Club.
Reading your own comments this photo would meet the challenge to me. But because those aren't visible during voting many didn't get the connection. Maybe a different title than the one you had as Beauty in Ice doesn't convey despair. I can't think of another title that may worked though. This is a nice macro shot of the Dogwood bud. There is some noise pixelation in the photo. If you can, try a program like Neatimage to clean it up a bit. Sorry that this didn't do better and I hope you'll still participate in future challenges. |
