Flowers for Algernonby flahermaComment: 6...it's a competent photograph, but lacks an sort of emotion and is visually flat. I'm going to assume that's a bloodied bandage, so perhaps color would have been more effective in this situation? And perhaps spreading the scene out a bit...the tattered bandage winding its way to a flower...and a mouse. |

Damn Dust - The Grapes of Wrath by RmacComment: 6...I like the gritty feel of it, the dust and roughness, the peevish looks on the fella's face. I don't enjoy the white vignette all that much though. |

Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann by MargaretNetComment: 6...seems like an easy way out...more an easy representation of a title than a novel...a novel so full of other possible images than this. But this is lovely in it's own right. |
