Henry, toss me an apple!by briantammyComment: This is a really cool image...I think it needs a bit more contrast...I don't see any real blacks...and the greenish sepia is a little odd..but then again the image reminds me of an old faded photo...regardless...this is a standout amongst a bunch of ordinary apples. |

Irresistibleby tigranComment: Kinda gross but beautiful at the same time...that juicy core looks somewhat "meaty" to me...almost like chicken bone...I must be strange, anyway, interesting image, nice light and texture. |

This is not "The Son of Man"by MatthewComment: This needed to be validated? ( I think that's some string/monofilament I see coming from that apple? Not bothersome though. ) Hmmm...The best Magritte homage..nice light, nice clear colors esp. that red tie...maybe a little too much sharpness ? I'm not sure...but very nicely done indeed....that red tie is scrumptous. |

Cricket at Sunsetby elsapoComment: Beautiful macro, lovely colors but this doesn't meet the challenge for me at all..."light" doesn't seem to play a major roll here...that pretty little bug and luscious flower do. |

Dark Angelby irikaComment: An interesting image for sure...the title ruined it for me...personally, I can't stand titles with "angel", "soul", etc. etc. in them...just to cliche/trite/affected for my taste. My only problem with the actual image is the caulking gun in the lower right hand corner...is she a "Dark Angel" because you were in the middle of renovating/restoring your bathroom and your wife/ girlfriend/girl next door decided to come in and distract you...interesting to say the least. |

obsession picturesqueby messerschmittComment: This is truly gorgeous! I'm am actually almost speechless...the tones, the palette, the light...exquisite...10
Part 2: This is still absolutely magnificent... for me, it reminds me of a tarnished "Old Masters" painting/masterpiece...it has a completely interesting sooty...almost metallic quality about it...I actually want to buy a print of this... it has totally moved me...again, a very fine job. |

Four Thousand Eight Hundred True Watts @ 1/8000th of a Secondby JoelHSmithComment: So that's what they look like during the pop...great idea! Those reflections at the end of the bulb are amazing...for me, the crop is somewhat disconcerting, I'm not sure why...I think it's the long and squat proportion that's a bit strange for me..anyway, still an awesome image! |
