Children's Play, Biggest Mistake, "Award"by hgpayneComment: If that's a real award, I think someone should be flogged for creating it. Nothing like "devistating" the heart of a youngster. Very nice play into the topic. Pretty good photography too :) |

Cement worksby marboComment: I like the clarity and contrast. The sepia makes it look like everything is covered in dust. Very nice! |

Beauty Of Desolationby CRblondie1102Comment: It is a lovely shot and the open sea is desolate. I don't know what has caused the quality problem with the noise, perhaps just converting it to jpeg? Also, it is a good idea to straighten the image horizon. |

Imagine... by e301Comment: Hi Ed, I have to say that this is my favorite. First of all, the PS work is seemless but I love the message and the irony. Beautifully composed. Oh, and the shadows! Brilliant. Congratulations on your placement. |

Uninhabitableby jas0420Comment: You colorized this somehow because I see a lot of unnatural pink/red but I like it. |

The Back Riversby e301Comment: It has a very strange look. The green on the water looks as though it is glowing, giving the appearance of toxic waste and a very desolate place. It is a little dark for me, I would like to be able to make out the structures a little better. |

Aloneby didnthaveacameraComment: Wonderful! "cry me a river". Beautiful calm water. I think the sky is just a little too light for the rest of the photo but you can't do anything about it for the contest. My favorite thing to do in cases like this, if my polarizer filter doesn't help with the exposure is to use my graduated gray filter. It would have worked well here. I can't wait to find out where this was taken, it's such a beautiful, calm water. |

Storm Rolling inby jxpfeerComment: You could have cropped out the beach and surf in the foreground but you didn't and I think that was a great decision. It adds something to the shot, so thanks for leaving it in. The photo could be a little bit clearer with slightly more contrast. Nice job. |

Cinderella sweeping up on Desolation Rowby ColeyComment: Excellent shot. Wonderful clarity. I love that little toy in his back pocket. I wonder about the story behind that. The way the man is leaning his head on the broom, really shows emotion - sadness, hopelessness, desolation. |
